Massena: Anne Doyle Carville, formerly of Brighton St., passed away peacefully on Sunday (May 25, 2014) at the St. Regis Nursing Home surrounded by family. There will be no public callings hours. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Massena at the convenience of the family.

Anne was born in Malone, New York, the daughter of the late Richard Martin Doyle and Frances (Callaghan) Doyle. Mrs. Carville attended St. Joseph’s Academy, Brasher Falls, where she graduated valedictorian of her class. She also attended and graduated from Central City Business School, Syracuse, New York.

After graduation, Mrs. Carville was employed at the WMSA radio station in Massena, and later went to work at ALCOA Aluminum Company. She married Robert E. Carville at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brasher Falls, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Massena.

Mrs. Carville was very active in her community throughout her life. She performed in the annual Massena minstrel musicals, taught figure skating, and was a member of the Massena Country Club Ladies Golf Team. She also enjoyed reading, collecting antiques and spending time with family at the family camp in Colton, NY.

Surviving Anne are two sons, Michael of Minneapolis, MN and Robert (Jodi) of Rochester, NY; two daughters, Jane Carville of Syracuse, N. and Patricia (Randy) Servage of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Doyle of Potsdam, NY and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Regis nursing home for their outstanding care over the past few years.
