UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Scott D. Durant, 22, of St. Regis Falls with unlawful possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate muffler at 8:14 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on state Route 37C in the town of Brasher.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Willie B. Monroe, 23, of Fort Covington with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:45 a.m. Thursday following a secondary inspection at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. He was turned over to troopers by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.



PETIT LARCENY - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Roy A. Barack, 61, of Fort Covington with petit larceny early Wednesday evening following an investigation into a purse snatching reported at 6:36 p.m. May 25 from the town of Malone. The arrest was made at 105 Pike St., Fort Covington, troopers said.



CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-state police charged a 14-year-old male from Fort Covington with third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal mischief after responding to a complaint at 7:54 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Fort Covington. The case will be turned over to the probation department to determine if his case will be petitioned to Franklin County Family Court.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - MASSENA - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Wednesday. Among those:

■ Daniel G. Kirkey, 28, of Massena at 8:32 p.m. in the Taco Bell parking lot in the town of Massena.
