LISBON - A Lisbon couple didnt have to worry where they were going to sleep Friday night after they were evicted from their residence on County Route 10.
St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department investigators said a drug investigation was launched Friday following a warrant of eviction being served on a Lisbon couple at 6916 County Route 10, Lisbon, by the sheriffs department Civil Division.
That led to Nicole M. Steinburg, 31, and Brian J. OMarah, 31, being charged with a felony count of third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine by the St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Departments Drug Task Force following the execution of a search warrant.
Detectives said numerous meth lab components were seized during the search.
Steinburg and OMarah were additionally charged with misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle.
The duo were arraigned in Fowler Town Court, and bail was set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.
Detectives were assisted at the scene by the sheriffs Civil Division, members of the city of Ogdensburg Police Department Narcotic Enforcement Unit, New York State Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit along with the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team.
Detectives said their investigation is continuing, and more arrests are pending.
The Drug Task Force has arrested seven people for manufacturing methamphetamine in three separate investigations over the past four days.
