The Heuvelton United Methodist Church’s next God SPA spiritual and physical activity outing will be a canoe and kayak outing Saturday.
The group will be paddling on Coles Creek near Waddington. All are welcome to join regardless of paddling experience. If you have your own canoe or kayak, please bring it along with a paddle and personal floatation device.
If you do not have a canoe or kayak, and wish to join for this outing, God’s SPA will pay to rent boats from a nearby business. Those wishing to rent boats must call Terri Persons at 344-7112 to get the boats to Coles Creek.
Coles Creek is a wide creek with many coves, and is usually calm. The group can hope to see an eagle, some loons, some nesting geese, otters, etc. The outing will include a time of reflection, devotion, and communion, and will probably last a couple of hours. Meet at the Heuvelton United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., or meet at the launch site about 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ms. Persons.
