Mohawk Raceway hosting first round of “Go Further” series

AKWESASNE - Mohawk International Raceway will resume the 2014 season this evenbiung with another action-packed lineup featuring the first round of the Frenchie’s Ford “Go Further” Sportsman Series plus a regular program for Modifieds, Mod Lites and Bandits.

Keegan’s Tobacco Shop will present the evening’s program. It will also be ‘Minor Sports Night’ with free popcorn to all children that show up to the track wearing their sports jersey.

The Frenchie’s “Go Further” Sportsman Series was started back in 2011, and so far Dylan Evoy has captured the championship every year. Evoy leads the way with 5 feature wins in the Series, while Mike Maresca, Darryl Nutting and Mike Arquiette all claimed wins in 2013. The only other winner to date is Gilles Godard in 2012.

General Admission for Friday night’s ESS Spectacular is only $14 for adults and $12 for Seniors. Kids 12 and Under are free. Pit Admission is $30.00 with DIRTcar license, and $35.00 without. All prices are listed in US funds. Please allow 10% exchange rate for Canadian currency. Pit Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and General Admission area will open at 5 p.m.
