BROWNVILLE - Scoring four unanswered goals after falling behind 1-0, the FC Freeze U18 boys soccer team, sparked by the nice combinations between Ogdensburg’s Peyton Lalone (2 goals, 1 assist) and Parishville-Hopkington’s Wyatt Snell (1 goal, 2 assists) posted a 4-1 win over General Brown in NNYYSL Action on Thursday night.

The duo first hooked up when Snell headed a send pass to Lalone who raced away for a breakaway and picked the short side of the net to deadlock the game 1-1. FC Freeze took a 2-1 lead into halftime when Lalone threw in the ball to Lisbon’s Riley Alberto who one-timed it back where Lalone raced down the corner and centered the ball to Snell who deposited it into the back of the net. Malone’s Pat Bylow made it 3-0 with a 25 yard blast from the stopper position before the final FC Freeze goal came with 15 minutes remaining when Snell made a pretty center cross to Lalone who beat the defender and drilled it home to wrap up the scoring.

Lisbon’s Nick Spooner turned in an athletic performance collecting eight saves with the defensive group of Bylow, Alberto, Canton’s Keagan Sovay and Lisbon’s Tristen Vine playing solid in front of the keeper and Lisbon’s Adam Kelley turning in a strong performance at midfield.

The locals, now 2-1 in the NNYYSL, travel to Watertown on Thursday to take on the 3-0 Upstate United Soccer Club on Thursday evening at the YMCA Soccer complex.
