WATERTOWN – The Upstate United SC Wolfpack (4-0) remained unbeaten despite a game effort from a scrappy FC Freeze squad in a 3-1 physically played contest on Thursday night. The contingent from Watertown opened up a 2-0 lead before Ogdensburg’s Peyton Lalone took a pass from Madrid-Waddington’s Tyler Robinson and beat the lone defender in a one-on-one situation then promptly deposited the ball into the corner of the net.

Lalone, Potsdam’s Pat Normandin and Dominic Frascatore continued with some scoring opportunities but an aggressive Wolfpack netminder held his ground.

FC Freeze goalkeeper Nick Spooner (Lisbon) stopped 12 shots in the crease with strong play defensive and midfield efforts from Potsdam’s Matthew Normandin and Ogdensburg’s Nate Peo in front of the netminder. The FC Freeze will return to action on Thursday at Lafargeville where they will play the Thousand Island Soccer Club.
