DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Samuel J. Snyder, 33, of Massena with driving while intoxicated and a felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following an all-terrain vehicle accident reported at 10:10 p.m. Monday on the Hall Road, near the Hall Road Extension, in the town of Massena. He was also ticketed for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to wear a helmet while operating of an ATV and failure to produce insurance for an ATV. Snyder was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his left eye, a broken clavicle and injuries to his right arm. Trooper said Snyder submitted to a blood test at the hospital so a blood alcohol content was not available.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - WATERTOWN - Watertown-based state police charged Christopher A. Mayette, 47, of Waddington with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at 3:41 p.m. Monday in the southbound lane of Interstate 81 in the town of Watertown.

PROPETY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - MASSENA - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents on Monday and early Tuesday morning around the region. Among those:

• Brenda J. Lanning, 56, of Norfolk at 5:22 a.m. Tuesday on Rooseveltown Road, near Route 37C, in the town of Massena.

• Cyd R. Giacovelli, 40, of Tupper Lake at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday on County Route 4, near County Route 42, in the town of Fort Covington.

• Michael J. Stone, 52, of Chase Mills at 7:06 a.m. Monday on state Route 28N in the town of Long Lake.
