BURGLARY - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Thomas I. Smith, 43, of Brushton with second-degree burglary following an investigation into a complaint received at 4:50 p.m. Friday. The arrest was made at 1220 Washington St.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Scott L. Betters, 56, of Chateaugay with second-degree criminal contempt following an alleged violation of an order of protection at 7:56 p.m. Friday on Water Street in the town of Waverly. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $500.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION WEAPON - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged a 13-year-old male with unlawful possession of a weapon by a person under 16 following an investigation into a neighborhood complaint reported at 9:01 p.m. Friday from the town of Fort Covington. The arrest was made at 10:51 p.m. Friday at County Route 43 in the town of Fort Covington.
