At a recent meeting of the Northern Athletic Council/Section X Executive Committee, Paul Harrica retired from his position as the Section X Executive Committee President, a position he has held for the last 18 years.

Mr. Harrica will become the Vice President of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHAA). Executive Committee Member Eileen Kilcullen was named President in his place. She will be only the second female president after Chris Leahy in 1997. Ms. Kilcullen is currently the Director of Health and Athletics at Franklin Academy; she has been a member of the Executive Committee for approximately 15 years. The Section X Executive Committee reports directly to NYSPHAA, as well as works to interpret rules and regulations to NYSED, oversee several committees within Section X, and collaborate with and mentor the 18 athletic directors within SLLBOCES and six athletic directors within FEHBOCES (Franklin Academy, Chateaugay, Brushton-Moira, St. Regis Falls, Salmon River, & Tupper Lake). Pictured above are Rose Bronchetti, Secretary (7 years) – retired St. Lawrence Central Athletic Director; Tony Bjork, Vice President (9 years) – Assistant Principal/Director of Athletics at OFA; outgoing President Paul Harrica; incoming President Eileen Kilcullen; Martha Slack, Treasurer (35 years) – retired Massena CSD Dean of Students/Director of Athletics; and Carl Normandin, Section X Executive Director (14 years). Absent from photo is Dave Steele, Executive Committee Member (3 years) Heuvelton Director of Athletics/PE. (Submitted Photo)
