AKWESASNE - The 2014 racing season is well underway at Mohawk International Raceway and the action is intense in all divisions.

This evening, Cedar View Golf Course presents the first appearance of the Mohawk Race Parts Pro Stock Series plus a full program on Modifieds, Mod Lites and Bandits. The Sportsman division will have the night off as they compete in the Sportsman Seaway Series this weekend in Quebec.

The Modified division has produced some great racing in 2014 with three different winners in the four events held so far. Billy Dunn was the first repeat winner last week, while Chris Raabe, Danny O’Brien, Dunn, Carey Terrance and Brian McDonald lead the way in the chase for the championship.

Mathieu Robinson currently leads the way in the Mod Lite division with a very close battle shaping up behind him with Scott Waldriff, Jesse Hudson, Harley Brown and Dan Reif in the top five.

Randy Whitting is having a fine season in the Bandit division as he leads Matt Zira and Cory Castell in the chase for the championship.

The Sportsman division will return to MIR next Friday night along with a full program and kids big wheel races presented by St. Lawrence Radiology.

General admission for Friday night is just $12 for adults. Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $25 for DIRTcar Members and $30.00 for non members.
