Massena—Priscilla J. Barton, 68 of Carey Rd, Massena died June 27, 2014 at her residence in Myrtle Beach, SC. She had been stricken February 4, 2014. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday (July 13, 2014) from 1-5 P.M. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. A prayer service will be held 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Donald J. Manfred officiating. Surviving Priscilla is her husband of nearly 50 years Arthur, her children Darren and wife Paige of Norfolk, VA; Deidra (Barton) and husband Dale Peets of Massena, NY., four grandchildren; Dustin, Kendal, Andrew and Kayla. Three brothers, Royal Degre of Dover, DE; Rayne Degre and (Patti) of Buffalo, NY; Rodney Degre and Amber of Norfolk, VA; three sisters, Diane and George Delosh; Debbra and Mike Kormanyos both of Massena, NY; Dwala and Ron Warnes of Buffalo, NY; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Penny Vara. Priscilla was born on January 18, 1946 in Massena the daughter of Elmer and Pearl (McDougal) Degre. She was a graduate from Massena High School. Priscilla was married on August 29, 1964 to Arthur Barton at St. Joseph’s Church by Rev. Harold Skelly. Priscilla was a home interior distributor for a number of years. For over 10 years Priscilla was the manager of the National Army Store, located in downtown Massena. She later received her real estate license and was affiliated with Century 21 Realty and later with Paul Post Realty until her retirement. She and her husband spent their last few winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.
