MASSENA – Mrs. Isabelle M. “Jean” Levac, 86, of 36 Bayley Road, passed away Friday evening, July 11, 2014 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Luhr in Baldwinsville.

Jean was born July 22, 1927 in Marseille, France, the daughter of the late Francesco and Francesca Borracceno Calabrese and attended schools and graduated from school in France. She met her future husband, A. Lawrence Levac while he was stationed in France during World War II. They married on March 23, 1946 and moved to the United States on July 4, 1946. Larry predeceased her on November 20, 2013.

Jean was a homemaker who raised four children. She enjoyed eating out, visiting and playing at the casino, and playing bingo was a great pastime for her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Johnson-Levac and her husband, Darryl of Washington, DC; Patricia Luhr and her husband, John of Baldwinsville; and Sandra Froio of Syracuse; her grandchildren, Kim Fenton, James Froio, Summer Costello, and Nicole Curran; and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was predeceased by her son, David L. Levac on August 4, 2002 and her brothers and sisters in France.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Tuesday 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Reilly, celebrating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
