MASSENA - Using money received from a U.S. Department of Transportation grant, the town of Massena awarded bids to contractors for security upgrades and the installation of a taxi lane at Massena International Airport.
For the taxi lane project, the town received one bid, from Barrett Paving, for $709,050.25.
Town Councilman Albert N. Nicola, who ran Wednesday’s meeting in the absence of Town Supervisor Joseph D. Gray, said the town’s engineer said the bid was in line with what they were expecting.
The town also awarded bids for security upgrades at the airport to Control Network Communications, whose bid came in at $10 less than Digital Surveillance Solutions, Inc. The winning bid was $33,340. Bids for the work were also received from NCC System’s, Inc., and IK Systems, Inc.
