Mr. Gerard J. St. Amour, age 73 of Parishville, NY passed away on July 20, 2014 at his residence while under the care of his family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Graveside services with Military honors will be held on August 2nd at 1pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Parishville, NY. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Mr. Gerard J. St. Amour was born in St. John’s, Quebec on February, 18, 1941 to the late Joseph and Marie-Louise Guyette St. Amour. He attended Brigham Academy in St. John’s until his family moved to the States as a child. He then served overseas in Germany in the United States Army as a Specialist Sharpshooter from 1963-1965. After his honorable discharge he returned to the States and worked as a trucker and a farmer until his retirement. Gerard just recently was married to his longtime companion Gloria Bailey on July 15, 2014 at their home in Parishville. He enjoyed working on farm equipment, 4 wheeling, gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Gloria St. Amour; children Annie St. Amour and companion Pete Kimball, Joe St. Amour, Eric (Brandi) St. Amour, Kimberly (Timmy) Ruel and Jerry St. Amour; grandchildren Brandon and Casey Hammond, Thomas and Becky Wheeler, Gerard Lloyd St. Amour and Mason Bailey; step children Dawn (Leo) Gagnon and Matthew and Mark Dailey. He is predeceased by his stepson Rusty Dixon.
