CELL PHONE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Matthew J. Wurtzel, 23, of Plainview for using a mobile device while operating a vehicle at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.

STOP SIGN - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Melody A. Brunet, no age provided, of Hermon for a stop sign violation at 2:42 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Leroy Street. Police allege Brunet failed to stop for a stop sign on Leroy at Cottage Street.

SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Ervin E. Francis IV, no age provided, of Plattsburgh for speed in zone (50/30 mph zone) at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.

0028 Patrols responded to Leroy Street to check the welfare of an intoxicated subject walking down the street. Arrangements made to get the subject back to their residence.

0755 Vehicle and traffic complaint.

0905 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Maple Street. Ticket issued.

1202 Theft of service complaint received. Investigation continues.

1433 Domestic Incident reported. Patrols dispatched.

1442 Traffic stop on Leroy Street. Ticket issued.

1515 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Elm Street. A verbal warning was issued.

1530 Patrols were requested by the Sheriff’s Office to check on a suspicious vehicle outside the village in a business parking lot that has been parked in the lot for several hours with people inside it. A patrol checked on the vehicle and found that the subjects had a legitimate reason for being there.

1548 Received a mental health pick-up order from Claxton Hepburn requesting patrols pick up an individual for an evaluation.

1550 Received a driving complaint.

1740 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

1746 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

1746 Dispatched a patrol to check on a dog left in a car. Dog was found to be in good health and not in any distress.

2230 Received a walk-in complaint of harassment.

2338 Records check completed for another law enforcement agency.
