Lawrence T. Vance, age 50, of Potsdam, passed away Monday afternoon, July 21, 2014, with his loving wife by his side. Interment will be at Forest Lawn in Pikeville, West Virginia. There will be no funeral service or calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg, NY.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Carrie; his two children, Preston and Autumn Vance, both of Georgia; two step children, Brittany LaBier and Chase Lozano; a brother, Stephen Barker of Big Chimney, WV; five grandchildren, Maddison, Landon, Levi, Zane and Deklan; a favorite cousin, Peyton Mowery and also two special families, the Zahurancik’s and Jones’s. He was predeceased by two brothers, Casto and Jamie. Lawrence was born on February 22, 1964, in Charleston, West Virginia the son of Larry and Jeanne Toney Vance. He went to high school and obtained his GED in the Georgia area. Lawrence at one time was a pipe cutter in Ohio.
Lawrence wrote beautiful poetry. Lawrence also sang in a band and played the guitar.
