State police in Ogdensburg looking for suspects in Dollar General thefts

OGDENSBURG - State police in Ogdensburg are seeking the public’s help in identifying three young males who are accused of shoplifting at Dollar General, 7669 Route 68.

State police in Ogdensburg said three boys entered Dollar General on State Route 68 in Ogdensburg at 8:08 a.m. July 17 and stole several items from the store.

Police were able to get descriptions of the possible suspects via surveillance equipment.

One boy, who is believed to be 16 years old, 5’9” to 6 feet tall, wore a black t-shirt, a black hat with “Chevy” written on it and a black backpack took, some items but put them back when confronted by the store manager.

A second male, about 5’6”, wearing glasses, a turquoise shirt and a backpack, was confronted by the store manager. He had numerous multi-packs of gum and canned soft drinks that he did not have a receipt for. He appeared to have severe acne.

A third male, also short, with a light colored shirt, possibly gray, with writing on the front and a backpack and dark hair was also stopped by the manager.

After leaving the store, police said the suspects hurriedly left on their bicycles and headed in the direction of Ogdensburg.
