A Memorial Mass for Winnifred “Winnie” M. Perretta, age 91 of Morristown and formerly of Brier Hill will be held on Saturday (August 23, 2014) at 11:00am at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Morristown with Rev. Jay Seymour officiating.

There will be no public calling hours. Mrs. Perretta passed away on Sunday (July 20, 2014 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are four sons Rocco Perretta of Morristown, John Perretta Jr. of Brier Hill, Frank Perretta of Florida & Michael Perretta of Rensselaer Falls; six daughters Linda McLellan of Cape Cod, MA, Debbie Clickner of Little River, SC, Francine Perretta of Canton, Angela Jenkinson of Eureka, CA, Maria Perretta of Morristown & Christine Perretta of Boca Raton, FL; a sister-in-law Patricia Boulia of Ogdensburg; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Her husband John N. Perretta along with two brother’s Floyd Boulia and Benjamin “Bud” Boulia predeceased her.

Winnie was born on December 8, 1922 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Benjamin & Helen (Donahue) Boulia. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and continued her education at Mater Dei College. Early in her career she worked at A & P Foods and as a hairdresser. On June 1, 1946 she then married John N. Perretta at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg with Msgr. Coseo officiating their marriage.

She was a beloved mother to her children. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, crafts, traveling and spending time with her family. She was also a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley; US Hwy 11; Potsdam, NY 13676.
