OGDENSBURG- Mary Marie Knable, 81 of Jay Street died at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg on Monday, July 28, 2014.

Born December 3, 1932 in Dekalb, NY, daughter of Edwin and Avis Perrin Scaife, she attended school in Ogdensburg.

Mrs. Knable was employed as a private duty nurse’s aid and for St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Ogdensburg until her retirement in 1982.

She was a member of the Notre Dame Church and participated on various bowling leagues.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Carol Edwards and Brenda Sloan, both of Ogdensburg; 2 sons, Jeffrey, Clifton Park, NY and Larry, Hilton Head, SC; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Four sisters, Carolee Koppenhafer, Pearl Hutton, Lefa Midgett and Olive Lamere all died before her.

There will be no funeral services. Burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville will be private.
