DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charge Jessi E. Fiacco, 31, of Norwood with driving while intoxicated and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway following a traffic stop at 1:04 a.m. Saturday on Market Street. Police said the traffic stop was initiated after police observed the operator squeal the tires. Fiacco was also ticketed for unnecessary noise - tires and unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle. Fiacco reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication in the state.

SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Malinda L. Wiggins, 31, of Rochester for speed in zone (45/30 mph zone) at 2:23 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive.

DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Ryan M. Phelps, 17, of Salisbury, Conn., with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of alcohol by a person less than 21 at 3:13 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street. He was also ticketed for speed in zone (46/30 mph zone). Phelps reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher is considered proof of intoxication in the state.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION ALCOHOL - Village police charged Marcus H. Richer, 19, of Tupper Lake and Peter B. Zimmerman, 17, of Canton with unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21 at 3:13 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.

SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Kristen M. McDernott, 33, of Rochester for speed in zone (51/30 mph zone) following a traffic stop at 10:57 a.m. Saturday on Sandstone Drive.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Nichole P. Beyer, 25, of Massena with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and using a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle and ticketed her for operation of a vehicle with no insurance and a suspended registration at 12:44 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Madrid Avenue. Police said they made the traffic stop after observing an alleged cell phone violation.
