Robert I. Grant , Eustis FL, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on August 1, 2014 at Florida Hospital – Waterman.

Bob was born July 16, 1942, son of the late Carl and Dorothy Grant Sr. of Louisville, NY. He was educated in Massena schools and obtained his GED while in the U.S. Navy. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1959 and served on destroyers until 1963. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters union, and worked on several jobs in the area. He then started working for GM in 1976, and took the buyout in 1986. He created “The Pumphouse” residential plumbing in 1986, and continued until his retirement. He was an avid bowler and golfer.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Dona) Grant, a brother Carl (Sonny) Grant Jr of Louisville, a daughter, Betsy DeMattos and her husband J. David of Palm Harbor, Fl, a son, Brian and his wife Dawn of Massena, five grandchildren, Paige and Jared DeMattos of Palm Harbor, FL, McKenna DeMattos of Milwaukee, WI, Katie and Ryan Grant of Massena, NY and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time.
