BRASHER FALLS - Massena Savings and Loan handed B&W Quick Stop its first loss while Goodrich Refrigeration and Enbridge-St. Lawrence Gas battled to an 18-18 draw in the Northern New York Box Lacrosse High School Division games played at the Tri-Town Arena on Monday.
The Elementary Division matchup saw Dow Electric outscore Stacey Howlett, DDS, 11-8 while the Reds outlasted the Whites 14-13 in the Adult Division contest.
Nightly player of the game awards in the Elementary and High School Division games are sponsored by Powerade.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION
Massena Savings & Loan 18, B&W Quick Stop 14: Player of the game Wyatt Roberts led the way offensively with six goals and one assist in the winning effort. Caleb Rathbun and Pat LaGrow chipped in four goals each.
Ryan LaPage held is ground defensively throughout the contest to earn player of the game honors for B&W Quick Stop. Kody Kocsis anchored the offense with a four-goal performance. Lucas Beeson followed with three goals while Drew Rose fashioned two goals and three assists.
Goodrich 18, Enbridge-SLG 18: Skyler Burns scored three goals and set up another as player of the game for Goodrich. Isaac Jandreau and Dennis Powell also generated hattricks.
For Enbridge-SLG, Jude Lauzon scored a goal and supplied relentless defense to earn player of the game status. Brody Simonds anchored the attack with six goals and four assists. Isaac Lyon rattled off eight goals and Hunter Storrin finished with two.
Splitting crease duties through the two games were Parker Hornung (31 saves, 1 assist) and Cash Feeley (31 saves, 2 assists) while Trent Dow stopped 11 shots in the one game he worked between the pipes.
Dow Electric 11, Stacey Howlett, DDS 8: Gauge Charleston broke through for three goals as player of the game for Dow Electric. Mike Donie, Holden Huiatt and Kyle Rutley each scored three twice in the winning effort.
For Howlett DDS, Riley Basford provided outstanding defense and notched an assist in being named player of the game. Jayden Ashley and Jack Pitts scored contributed three goals apiece while Tom Storrin added a goal and two assists
Reds 14, Whites 13: Kevin Logan (4 assists) and Bryan Bordeleau netted four goals apiece to anchor the winning attack. Andrew Fiske chipped in a goal while Brian LaBier turned aside 12 shots backstopping the win.
For the Whites, Cody Burns generated five goals. Brady Helmer tallied two goals and two assists while Pat Tharrett fashioned a goal and assist. Connor McCuin made 12 saves working the crease in the losing cause.
