UNSAFE BACKING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Anqi Zhang, 20, of Potsdam for unsafe backing at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday following a property damage accident in the Kinney Drugs parking lot on Maple Street.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Ginette C. Hess, 19, of Potsdam with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her using a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Maple Street. Police said after stopping Hess for the alleged cell phone violation they determined her operating privileges had been suspended on May 22.

UNINSPECTED VEHICLE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Nicholas King, no age or address provided, for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Main Street.

1400 Potsdam Village Police received a St. Lawrence County Court Bench Warrant for Garrett M. Smith.

1503 Patrol responded to a property damage accident on Maple Street.

1511 A disability parking permit was issued to a Norwood resident.

1527 Patrol received a question from a concerned citizen about a potential fraudulent offer she received via telephone concerning her sending Green Dot Money Pak cards to the caller. Please be aware that any attempts by unknown people requiring you to send them money in any form may be fraudulent.

1543 Property damage accident in the parking lot at the Kinney Drug Store on Maple Street. Ticket issued.

1759 Traffic stop on Sandstone Drive. Tickets issued.

1808 Patrol responded to the Family Dollar for a report of a 5 year old boy in the store by himself. The officer was able to determine where the child lived and walked him home, returning him to his parents. The investigation continues.

2044 Patrols responded to an apartment on Elm Street to dispose of a bat in the residence.

2100 Patrol received a report of alleged telephone harassment of a village resident by a Canton woman.

2155 Patrol initiated a traffic stop on Maple Street and issued a verbal warning for speed in zone.

2156 Traffic stop on Main Street. Ticket issued.

2247 Patrol initiated a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive and issued a verbal warning for a tail light violation.

2248 Patrol initiated a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive and issued a verbal warning for a plate lamp violation.

2254 Patrol initiated a traffic stop on Sandstone Drive and issued a verbal warning for a headlight violation.
