BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Christopher R. Lefrancois, 42, of 128 Quinell Road, Massena, on a bench warrant at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the police station. Police said Lefrancois turned himself in after learning their was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant, signed June 24 by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson, alleged Lefrancois had failed to appear in court as directed on a pending disorderly conduct charge. He was arraigned on the warrant by Gerald P. Sharlow and released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The disorderly conduct charge alleged Lefrancois was charged with disorderly conduct on Aug. 8, 2013 after he refused to stop screaming and shouting obscenities during an argument with his mother on Douglas Road.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Mamady Kaba, 64, of Kilborn Avenue, Ottawa, Ont., for speed in zone at 2:10 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on state Route 37.

UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Robert J. Horn, 41, of Hogansburg for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle and operation of a vehicle with an inadequate muffler at 2:28 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on state Route 37.

FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - Village police ticketed Eric J. Collins, 34, of Trimm Road, St. Regis Falls, for following too closely following a property damage accident at 3:41 p.m. Thursday on Main Street near Massena Savings and Loan. He reportedly rearended a vehicle being operated by Jennifer Root.
