Julia M. Boak


Massena-Julia M. Boak, 92, formally of Massena, NY passed away peacefully August 7, 2014 at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY, with Hospice by her side. A graveside service for Julia will be held 2:30 P.M. Monday, August 18, 2014 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Massena with Rev. Thomas Papazoglakis presiding. Julia was born on May 25, 1922 to the late John and Bertha (Fuzers) Molnar in Massena, NY. She attended and graduated from Massena Central High School. She married William George Boak on August 18, 1945 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Norman B. Godfrey officiating. William predeceased her on February 22, 1963. She raised her children while working at Madison School maintenance department, retiring in 1984. She is survived by her three children Saundra (Donald) Anderson of Elkin, NC; Alan (Brenda) Boak of Homosassa FL; and Sharon (David) Pappas of Ballston Lake, NY. Julia is survived by four grandchildren; George (Penny) Eagles II of Massena, NY; Stephan Perrotte of Jurupa Valley, CA; Stacy Lynn (Randall) Harp of Spring Hill, TN; Shawn (Wendy) Perrotte of Brentwood, TN, two great grandchildren; Cassandra (Isaac) Smith of Statesville, NC; Alicia Eagles of Halfmoon, NY; a great-great grandson Maddox Smith of Statesville, NC and several nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by her brothers John, Joseph, Gaza (Gerald) and Stephen Molnar, and sisters, Bertha Jerome, Elizabeth Belile, and a daughter Mary Dahl of Corona, CA in 2002. Julia was a communicant of the St. John’s Episcopal Church.
