UNAUTHORIZED USE - MASSENA - Village police reported Tuesday they had charged Tyler R. Searles, 19, of 1260 County Route 37, Massena, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at 12:31 p.m. Aug. 15. Police said Searles was job shadowing a mechanic at Frenchie’s when he was asked to back a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro out of the garage. He then allegedly took the vehicle for a test drive without permission.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Peter A. Nelligan, 30, of 15 Bishop Ave., Massena, on a bench warrant at 7:35 p.m. Monday on Bishop Avenue. The warrant alleged he had failed to appear as directed on a criminal mischief count pending in Massena Village Court. He was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and released with orders to appear in village court Tuesday.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Daniel F. Ryan, 43, of 100 A Woodlawn Ave., Massena, at 11:27 p.m. Monday on Woodlawn Avenue on a bench warrant issued by St. Lawrence County Court. The warrant alleged Ryan had violated the conditions of his probationary sentence. Ryan had been sentenced to probation for three years in February 2013 after pleading guilty to one count of criminal contempt. In April 2012, Ryan was indicted on accusations of violating two orders of protection by throwing nail polish at Stacey Haley and pushing her on different occasions in September and October 2011.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Frederick A. Booth, 75, of County Route 46, Massena, for a stop sign violation at 4:15 p.m. Monday on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.
