MASSENA - Three properties in the village of Massena are currently involved in potential nuisance law cases, according to Village Code Enforcement Officials Ken McGowan.
The properties at the corners of Liberty and Sycamore, Sycamore and Woodlawn and 53 Pine Street are each involved.
Mayor James F. Hidy said each of the properties has been on the village’s radar for quite some time.
“We’ve given them time to comply,” Mr. Hidy said. “We’re not going to deal with it any more.”
Mr. McGowan said he has spoken with the owners of the properties, and he hopes to have the issues remedied soon.
According to the village’s nuisance law, landlords can potentially be fined up to $1,000 for each day the properties remain out of code.
