WADDINGTON — Sharing an evening of acoustic blues, folk and Americana, Tas Cru and Mary Ann Casale will perform as part of the Waddington Summer Concert Series at 6 p.m. Aug. 15.
Because of the cold and possible rain, the Tas Cru and Mary Ann Casale concert in Waddington will be moved indoors at the Old Town Hall on the corner of Main Street and Route 37. The show will be held at 6 p.m. as planned in the Old Town Hall. The Old Town Hall is wheelchair accessible via an elevator.
Tas Cru and Mary Ann Casale have been performing together since late in 2012 after not being in contact for over 30 years. A chance meeting at a festival in which they were both performing has brought these two musicians together and they have combined both of their music styles to bring a blend of acoustic blues, folk and Americana to the stages. Their performance features original songs from both artists including Ms. Casale’s recent album, “Running Out of Time,” an album of originals which was produced by Tas Cru and on which he is featured in many of the tracks.
Sweet eccentric, quirky and outright irreverent are all words that fittingly describe Tas Cru’s songs and testify to his reputation as one of the most unique of bluesmen in his trade today. He is currently working on a new album, “You keep the Money,” scheduled to be released this summer.
