POTSDAM - A 51-year-old Potsdam man was charged Monday after he allegedly cut up $1,700 in cash that belonged to his former paramour.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies charged Jeffrey J. Giuliani, of 760 May Road, Potsdam, with a felony count of second-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned by Potsdam Town Justice Sam Charleson and released on his own recognizance, to appear Sept. 3 in Stockholm Town Court.

Deputies alleged that Giuliani used a pair of shears to cut up the $1,700 in cash.
