LOUISVILLE – Mr. Gordon E. Fleming, 81, of 298 Willard Road, unexpectedly passed away Friday morning, August 29, 2014 at his home.
Gordon was born August 19, 1933 in Keene Valley, New York the son of the late Joe and Maleska Larnard Fleming and proudly served his country in the US Army. On July 24, 1982, he married Debra Gebo at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Massena; the marriage later ended in divorce.
Gordon was a crane operator for various construction companies before beginning his own trucking business of which he operated for many years. He truly loved to travel, especially by motorcycle when he was able. Gordon loved to socialize with his many friends at many local restaurants and diners. Gordon truly lived an adventurous life and tried any adventure at least once.
He is survived by his daughters, Cayla and Philip Rubacha of Massena; and LaRue Fisher of Virginia; his grandsons, Nicholas, Dmitri, Austin, Dustin, Nikki, and Darien; his granddaughter, Alexa; and his beloved dog, Nugget.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Paula and his sister, Kathleen Hewey.
Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena. There will be no funeral services. As per his request, cremation will follow.
